More predicable, yet equally fabulous southern sights

Pictures are at the bottom...

Day two of our southern adventure was a touch more typical. We started off the morning with a leisurely wakeup, and a casual drive off to Jökulsárlón. A nice stroll along the shore then, then a stroll along the sea side as well. Great weather.

Back to Skaftafell, and we went for a nice stroll out to the glacier tongue down by the office, where we all enjoyed the huge variety of rocks that the glacier has brought down. Lots of greens and reds to go with the more usual grey and black.

A stroll up to Svartifoss rounded up our stop at Skaftafell. Skaftafell itself was surprisingly empty for an early summer weekend. Still May, but late May, and great weather. Still, we weren't complaining!

The final stop of the day was of course Seljavallalaug, where we joined a group of fresh graduates from Mentaskóli. (like High School) They were having a bit of a bbq and a swim, and were keen to try out their snippets of german on Wolfgang and Alex, and test my icelandic.
