A busy week of proofreading Wolfgang's thesis. Wednesday had Dikta playing at Dillon, and also an Útivist trip. I wanted to do both, but proofreading was going to get in the way of that :)

Getting out of town had to fall by the wayside. I had work work to do, and Wolfgang came and went through my comments, but surprisingly, we were done, and he didn't have any more that needed reading right that instant. I was free, and headed up to Dillon to catch the end of Dikta.

I arrived to a packed house and some wailing rockers doing a pretty fine job. Turned out this was Lives, and Dikta was still to play! Two bands for the price of one! (still free!) Dikta did a pretty good show, solid, but nothing particularly memorable. A hell of a lot of pedals though!

Of note is that these bands were competing with a hljomalind sponsored band playing at Barinn, charging 800kr. Those are some bars that are just not used to charging entry, and I'm not sure how the show went. It sounded suitably loud and guitar powered when I went past, but just past Barinn, you could hear the guitars pumping out of Dillon as well. Sif paying. Do a good show and I'll buy your cd.
