I needed to get out. Screw the weather, it's time to get outside. I headed to my old friend, Vífellstaðir, and the lake and hillside around there. I was going to go for a nice walk around the lake, but it was far too windy and cold, so after a few minutes I gave up, and drove round to the forest, for a walk amongst the trees.
A few other people out there, even two more micra's, parked out in the snow. Who needs a big jeep when you have mighty nissan power? Definitely a perfect place to get out the cross country skis, found their tracks a few times. Might be a more useful project for next winter. You don't need as much snow as you need for downhill skiing :) And randonee seems a bit much for a weekend afternoon stroll.
Had a nice walk, got a nice leg stretch.
