Well obviously it's not! For starters, they took me to other places which need to be written about!
Like the beach! We drove off through more rolling green fields, with the odd wind farm, headed to St Peter Ording, a beach community on the North Sea. By the time we got all the way out there, the weather was a bit gusty, and not the warmest, so I decided against a swim. Had a fun time playing with shellfish in the sand instead. The beach was a very very wide beach, with not much in the way of waves to speak of. Lots of kite surfers, but they seemed to be struggling with the gustiness of the wind.
Had a good look at all the old red brick houses, and small boats tied up everywhere in the towns in the area, and enjoyed a nice packed lunch sitting in the interesting german two seater germann deck chair things.
On the way home we saw some really nice rainbows, which were nice chaser to some of the threatening weather we'd seen at the beach.
We also stopped off to have a look at a great big chalk mine, which was quite interesting. Open pits are always neat when you can get up close to them.
