The Winter Solstice - More light from here on out

Pictures are at the bottom...

The Winter solstice. More light from here on out. Light beginning in the south east at 10:30am. Dawn colours growing then seamlessly transitioning to sunset colours.

I took off around midday local time (not quite astronomical midday due to iceland being in GMT, but being at 20°W, but close enough for mortals like me) and rode around town taking some pictures. We'd had a bit of fresh snow overnight and in the early morning, and the light and the still coolness in the air was wonderful.

Back to the office, and we finished the day with Jólaglögg (red wine, cognac, spices, sultanas and slivered almonds, all cooked up) and year end chatter. Enjoying our new office.
